This awesome collective brings together local designers. Founders Leandra & Lucy select the most beautiful apparel, stunning homeware, accessories, art, footwear and more – for a large part locally designed and produced.  These talented ladies also recently opened a second shop in Church street, in Capetown.

Just a short uber-ride from the city center you’ll find the more upcoming area Woodstock. Make sure to visit the Old Biscuit Mill but also the surrounding shops and the Cinta Foodmarket on Albert Road.

 The Old Biscuit Mill is in te heart of Woodstock and feels like a little village. Here you’ll  meet some of South Africa’s most talented, innovative designers, artists, photographers, as well as connoisseurs of fine taste and decor. On Saturday mornings the Neighbourgoodsmarket is on, promoted as THE essential showcase of Cape Town’s finest micro-merchants, designer-makers, specialty-producers and food-alchemists. Sounds good hey?!

Just across the street from the Old Biscuit Mill entrance there are some arcades with more cool little shops, where you can find cosy bookshops, eco furniture and this pretty store with a range of amazing Organic African black soaps (tried and tested!) and shampoos and a nice rack with the fashion creations of local design talents.

CINTA FOOD MARKET

This is your stop for breakfast and lunch! Cinta Café  is a collective of some amazing local food vendors who bring affordable, fresh and delicious breakfast and lunch options to Woodstock with a Malay twist. And speciality teas and coffee’s as well as awesome juices and shakes! Their fresh produce is sourced from local suppliers. And all vendors try to keep it as local as Woodstock / Salt River to create a sustainable community eco system for their business to flourish along with the Woodstock Neighbourhood. Their garden is super nice – stay all day and try everything!

VINTAGE SHOPPING AT LONG STREET

Long street is great for Vintage shopping. We especially loved the shop Gracious Daisy with it’s super friendly and fun owners and great selection of vintage finds. There is a few really nice vintage shops gathered on this part of Long street.
