WHEN IN BRUSSELS – 5 HANGOUTS FOR COFFEE, SHOPPING & DINNER

Last week we visited Brussels and we made a list of our favourite hangouts. So when you happen to be in Belgium’s capital city, these are the places to go shopping or have a coffee or dinner.

1. God Save The Cream

We like to start the day with good coffee, so God Save The Cream is the perfect beginning of your trip. God Save The Cream takes food extremely serious. EVERYTHING (from their carrot cake to their chocolate fudge) is homemade with premium organic ingredients. We love their packaging (and all that is inside.)

2. Super Green Me

Let’s go shopping at Super Green Me next! This boutique promotes a everyday sustainable lifestyle for you and your little one. They offer shoes, underwear, accessories and cosmetic products. All products have a minimal environmental impact and respect human and animals.

3. Musée Margritte

Time for a walk to the Magritte Museum. First take in the view on the “Place de la Justice.” Now continue your walk trough the Sablon quarter towards the royal palace and the museum. Multidisciplinary, the museum consists of paintings (Empire of Light, The Man from the Sea, The Domain of Arnheim), gouaches, drawings, sculptures and painted objects, but also billboards, music scores, old photographs and films directed by Magritte himself.

4. ICI Epicerie fine / néo-cantine

How about getting a late lunch at ICI Epicerie fine/néo-cantine next? This place serve organic food and also offers some vegan options. Our favourite pick? The sweet potatoes, oven roasted with rosemary and thyme, topped with goat cheese and some homemade granola. Yummie! Might be a good idea to make a reservation as this place is always packed.

5. Ramon and Valy Vintage shop

Don’t forget to visit Ramon and Valy‘s vintage shop. Ramon and Valy are THE pioneers of the Brussels vintage scene. They have a secondhand collection of the topnotch outfits and accessories, expect haute couture brands like Chanel, Hermes and Dior.
